In this video, I talk about 3 LinkedIn mistakes to avoid when it comes to your LinkedIn profile.
First off, your LinkedIn profile photo.
Often, older workers will leave off a profile photo because they’re worried about showing their age.
But guess what?
f you don’t have a photo, you’re 21 times less likely to get clicked on and a whopping 36 times less likely to get a message.
So, don’t miss out – add that photo.
Second, your LinkedIn headline.
Please don’t use it to scream to the world that you’re desperately seeking new opportunities.
Your headline is prime real estate for your professional marketing.
You’ve got 120 characters to work with, so make it count with a compelling headline or relevant keywords.
“Seeking new opportunities” won’t cut it.
Finally, security settings.
Tightening your settings too much can easily make you invisible to potential connections and employers.
Remember, LinkedIn is a place to network professionally, not to hide.
Make it easy for others to find and connect with you.
