My friend Mike.
I have been thinking a lot about him recently.
For those of you who followed my old channel, you may remember Mike.
A grandmaster who followed his passion teaching children how to play chess.
I did a video tribute to him in March of 2022.shortly after he became San Jose’s second homicide of the year.
The point of the video was not about Mike’s death. It was about how Mike was one who truly followed his passion.
I often hear about the dreams people have in creating a new career.
This year alone, I worked with a software engineer who dreams of becoming an interior designer.
A judge who dreams of becoming a victim’s rights mediator.
A program manager who dreams of becoming a professional photographer.
Although this video was not one on my list to repurpose in 2023, the more I think about my friend Mike, the more I realized I wanted to re-share his story.
I hope you enjoy.
