Tell me about yourself
The dreaded “Tell me about yourself” question in an interview.
This is probably the most common interview question asked.
And as a professional career coach, I’ve seen firsthand how many people struggle answering this question effectively.
But I have good news – I have a solution for you.
In today’s video, I share with you my approach to answering this question in a way that is authentic, flows naturally, and highlights your value to the company.

My approach is answering this question in four elements: Who you are in the present sense with a value-added quality. Industries and environments you’ve worked in. Your skills and strengths. And finally, what makes you unique.
The hiring manager doesn’t care about your childhood story or personal details, they want to know what value you will bring to the company.
I also want to stress the importance of thinking about the role you are applying for and how you can add value in that specific field.
For example, if you are a software engineer, you might mention that you enjoy working with leading edge technologies or if you are in finance, you might mention your love for numbers.
I invite you to watch the video and follow my approach to answering this question.
It can give you a competitive edge in your next interview and increase your chances of landing your dream job.
