interested in finding your purpose after retiring?
I’ve got a secret to spill, and you’re the lucky ones to hear it.
Shh, don’t tell anyone, but I’m what they call an “older worker.”
Yep, I fall into that “protected class” category that starts at 40.
But honestly, it’s not until you hit your fifties that you start feeling the age discrimination vibes. I’ve felt it, people I know have felt it, and many of the folks I help as a career coach have felt it too.
My usual gig is coaching mid-to-late career professionals, the wise ones in their fifties and early sixties.
But today, I want to talk about a group that’s often overlooked: those over 60.
Some are still in the workforce, while others are looking to wind down their careers but stay productive.
Even some folks collecting Social Security are jumping back into work, not for the money, but to stay active.
So, in today’s video, I’m sharing eight career opportunities for those aged 62 and above.
Finding Purpose After Retiring
Most of these jobs do require a college education, but hang on a sec.
Some companies are getting flexible about those requirements, as I mentioned in a previous video.
Now, these opportunities are based on a study by the Urban Institute, so they’re worth considering if you’re looking to pivot your career or get back to work.
