These days, there’s not much support for cover letters in the industry.
Many HR professionals, recruiters, hiring managers, and even career coaches are no longer advocating for them.
The reason behind this shift is simple: recruiters claim they don’t have the time to read cover letters anymore.
With hundreds of resumes pouring in for a single job opening, it’s understandable why they cannot dedicate the time.
In fact, even at large companies like Google, with over 20,000 resumes coming in every week, resumes are often not read at all.
They are directly uploaded into an applicant tracking system.
Despite this trend, I am one of the few career coaches who still believes in cover letters.
Because many does not mean all.
What if that recruiter or hiring manager values a cover letter.
What if not having one disqualifies you for considering.
Are you willing to take that chance?
In today’s video, I share how you can easily create a cover letter in just a few steps.
When you are in career transition, its best to make sure all your I’s are dotted and t’s are crossed.
