Building a strong network before you need it is crucial in today’s business client.
In this video, I am sharing a story about a guy named Pete.
Now, Pete had been with his company for nearly two decades, and he was the go-to guy for everything.
He was also at the C-Level of his company, which made him quite unique.
You see, he was the subject matter expert and knew more about the systems than those working for him.
But here’s the catch. Although he was a subject manager expert, he was not a thought leader in the industry.
No one knew Pete was out there.
He had not updated his resume in 20 years, and his LinkedIn was gathering digital dust with just 56 connections.
Fast forward to today, Pete is on a job hunt. After 20 years, his company sadly closed its doors.
