Are you ready for answering the weakness question?
In my latest video, I share valuable insights on answering the “weakness” question.
A question that can be asked many different ways.
What is your greatest weakness? What do I need to worry about if I hire you?
No matter where you are in your career, this question can catch you off guard.
And sorry to say, but chocolate cravings or not calling your mom won’t cut it!
Your weakness must be career related.
And trying to disguise a weakness as a strength, or saying you have no weaknesses will not work.
Hiring managers see right through these answers.
Instead, think about a weakness that isn’t directly relevant to the position you’re applying for.
For example, one of my past clients, a former CEO, admitted he was all thumbs when it came to working on his laptop.
It was a relatable weakness, considering how technology-dependent our world has become.
However, he was not placed into that position for his technical skills.
Another example was a network engineer who felt uncomfortable speaking to large groups.
Again, career related but not a requirement for his position.
I go much deeper into this question during the video, as well as several safe answers you can use.
